It is all about the principle. One round later, Level 1 Oscar-stomping Godzilla will be upgraded to Level 2 and become Tokyo-stomping Godzilla. The counter move then is: Combine and and and no more stomping. Until next time. This can be a great game! 1 1
Major Lee
For this sim, the F6F Hellcat would be an essential aircraft, for obvious reasons.

343KKT_Kintaro
Just consulted the infos on Wikipedia: The Imperial Japanese Army Air Service received one Fw 190A-5 for evaluation purposes. Imperial Japanese Army Air Force purchased 5 [Bf 109] E-7s in 1941. The aircraft were used for tests and trials. Five Japanese Bf 109s only... one Japanese Fw 190 only... and none of them had been used in real combat missions. So it is very unlikely that the "Combat Pilot" engineers develop one of these German planes, at least not as long as they stay in the Pacific theatre of operations. Maybe someday, if the project develops further into a "generic" WWII series of combat flight sims. I may be wrong, but that's what I think. Sounds logical to me.
Trooper117
I hope they never waste time on Jerry aircraft unless they are in a combat setting where they were used (one day) Anyway, there are pretty good versions of these aircraft already in other games...

Looks like there was some misunderstanding, it was supposed to be a small joke, so i added the smiley now, this way it will not be taken so seriously Ps: i'm a würger whinner, if i can put a würger somewhere, even where it doesn't belong, i do it.

AngelicCypher
Not one legitimate flight sim that I have ever seen has put this beautiful plane that was a workhorse of the US Navy. Fighters are great and all, but attack aircraft did the real damage. And early war, there is no denying that the SBD was one of the best made. PLEASE put the Dauntless in!
Sea Serpent
They probably aren’t going to make a Battle of Midway without the SBD, so I doubt you have to worry about that.

It will be in there... c'mon, they played an important role during the battle, so there is no way they will be left out. This is all about Midway after all, so you will need the aircraft that can sink carriers, fighters can't do that...

I think my point still stands that it is under represented though. 🙂 1

Trooper117
Jason and crew will be hitting the Pacific arena for the foreseeable future, I'd say by the time they get around to doing a Folland Gnat in any meaningful theatre and map, you will probably have ceased to exist, along with the rest of mankind...
