Dreams do come true -- Thanks Jason, Barbedwire Studios and everyone involved

Salute All; but a huge shout-out to Jason and Barbedwire Studios,

I have waited and waited for a modern PTO Flight Sim for decades.

And I mean decades.

I have wanted something like this since I was a kid.

Especially after seeing the movie Midway in the theaters in 1976.

They even had a custom sound system named Sensurround.

Take that Dolby Atmos 😵

The Original IL-2 Sturmovik Pacific Fighters  has scratched the itch for years.

But, like every simmer I know, I wanted more.

More eye-candy, more realism; just, well . . . more.

And after being told that the other sim would never go there, I was wrecked.

And then . . .

Combat Pilot was announced.

Say What?!?!?!

A brand new modern PTO Flight Sim?

One being built from the ground up?

With modern tech underlying its construction?

And Jason Williams is at the helm?

Just WOW!!

First, I think of the all the Plane Sets that can be made available; either NPCs or flyable

And then, hold on a second . . . there's going to be Carrier Ops too?

Man, I can't wait to hit the sky in Combat Pilot and it is definitely a Day One buy for me!

The future so bright -- I gotta wear shades!

Thank you Jason and all the great people at Barbedwire Studios for making this dream a reality!

As an aside, as a kid I also saw Midway in 1976 in sensurround (along with Earthquake and Towering Inferno). When the SBDs finally got bombs on the Japanese CVs the entire theatre exploded into wild cheers and applause that lasted for quite some time. WW2 was a lot closer then.

Agree, this sim will be great. With its success, and so much to cover, I’ll be flying it into my 70s at least.

Yep, Most of the US veterans of WW2 were still in their fifties about that time.

Being an old git, I really can't express enough, my excitement and gratitude for this project taking flight. I wish Jason and the team every success and I hope to be flying over the Pacific sometime in the (hopefully) not too distant future.

Amen to that, right there with ya.
