Boom
Midway, Tora Tora Tora and that awful movie Pearl Harbour are well known. But what about Pacific air combat movies not involving the Navy (Aircraft carriers)? I can only think of three. Anyone think of any more?

wheelsup_cavu
Those are Mediterranean and European theater war movies with a WW1 movie thrown in too @Enceladus. 18 hours ago, Boom said: But what about Pacific air combat movies not involving the Navy (Aircraft carriers)? By limiting it to the Pacific Theater of Operations without a carrier component the fare does get mighty slim. Boom
This movie is very low level. But it's saved by the B-29, which is the real star. :)

Wheels To be completely accurate, A Guy Named Joe starts out in the ETO with Spencer Tracy flying a B-25. He dies bombing, (ironically considering the thread topic) a German carrier. There are a couple of great sequences featuring early P-38s and B-26s filling in as Japanese Bettys. One of my favorite Van Johnson films.
