Wow you have long history with that 'Blade....that goes straight "over fireplace" as souvenir once new Pivot arrives....you're going to have a lot of fun with modern geometry. I'm not veteran like you but i kept my cube stereo 2017 for flat and grocery store rides while Specilazed Enduro 2022 is new adrenaline weapon. Didn't aim for it but i bumped on a really good price, otherwise id go with nice allarounder (SC Hightower), still do when budget allows. 1

I know a couple folks (online), that went with a 650b conversion for their Blades. Put some new life into their bikes. that Specialized you have is a very nice Bike. 1 Quote MSI MAG Z790 Carbon, i9-13900k, NH-D15 cooler, 64 GB CL40 6000mhz RAM, MSI RTX4090, Yamaha 5.1 A/V Receiver, 4x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe, 1x 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD, Win 11 Pro, TM Warthog, Virpil WarBRD, MFG Crosswinds, 43" Samsung 4K TV, 21.5 Acer VT touchscreen, TrackIR, Varjo Aero, Wheel Stand Pro Super Warthog, Phanteks Enthoo Pro2 Full Tower Case, Seasonic GX-1200 ATX3 PSU, PointCTRL, Buttkicker 2, K-51 Helicopter Collective Control

My Specialized is really a enduro/dh beast but not quite well allarounder, i like to go xc adventures as well so when budget allows i'll go for some of those too (Expensive hobby😅).

Trooper117
I can't afford even a second hand thing like that... bummer! Trooper117
I was impressed until he 'carried' his bike to the top of the feature. (bloody show off 😁) but became even more impressed when he made his way down!

Climbing up the pinnacle would have scared me to death (even without a bike) and absailing (down from it) was something I never mastered. 4 Quote The Bell Inn, Bath. I would be in same situation, i only tried it once and oh boy it was easy fun, thats why i avoid it for now....trying to force myself to pedal more and stay in shape, also cant afford it at the moment. But i see myself in a few years going with ebike for enduro trails and other short trails that require climbs. While also having light trail bike for whole day adventure rides on natural trails.
Boo
Somewhere, at the back of my crumbing shed is a 2005 Stumpjumper FSR Comp. Best thing I've ever bought now sadly going to waste. I'd imagine it would look somewhat "ole skool" now wit its 26" wheels but it did everything I wanted it to do. I was never off it when I lived in the Pennines but theres not much use for an FS bike in Lincolnshire (unless you're a crack runner).
