What Are You "Flying" Today?

Recommended Posts

  • 3 weeks later...

Almost all of my flight time lately has still been in BMS. Still not much of a looker (and VR screenshots don't help either) but when you're flying around in that truly alive, dynamic battlefield at 20,000ft focusing on your jet and its systems, you don't notice some terrain tiles!

Besides, if pretty graphics are all you care about, go play Call of Duty like the other kids 😝

I borrowed this pic from Heatblur...  They released an update for their MSFS F-14.  I'll be flying from AZ to Miramar, and then catch a carrier off the coast.  (Using the Miltech Super Carrier mod...)

Jester is still an @$$ hat in the MSFS version....  😁

I still fly CloD , occasionally BoX.

Truesky looks promising in Clod, we are a year on from that video and not much has changed:

I do like the way too that visually it feels like a real environment, especially in the contrails:

I do like BoX much more simply because I love making movies with flight sim software and the vast amount of cameras make using it so satisfying.

It also makes being able to create short videos of veterans memories very easy.

So that's what I'm flying at the moment.

Really looking forward to Combat Pilot and everything the Unreal Engine brings.

@Jason_Williams please remember, lots of cameras including free camera..... and should a miracle be possible, please consider Nvidia Ansel 🙏🙏🙏

Five Months I've been stooging around in the B.E.2c. Five dreary months of dodging small arms fire, rotten weather, Archie and several uncomfortably close run-ins with Fokker E's.
I even once had a close brush with Immelmann. He came out of the sun, and on his first pass he chewed up my rudder, observer and fuel tank. He then proceeded to perform a beautiful renversement to deliver the coup de grace. Fortunately my F.E.2b escorts finally woke up and drove him off.

Five months!!

And what happens? Shot down by a damned Frenchie who can't tell a Aviatik from a B.E.2c. :classic_angry:. Fortunately I managed to side-slip into the ground. Now in Blighty recovering.

It is a hoot to fly!  (borrowed a pic from the developer, since I can't take such good pics in VR)

I'll have a go in the F-4 soon... I've installed it, and it's waiting, all shiny and new!

It's a blast my man!  got my first kill using the sparrow!  getting my controls all sorted, but this bird is incredible.  Going to give the ramp start a go shortly....

been flying a Fokker DVII, in a later 1918 campaign, (for the last couple of days).  So far, racking up some kills, and managing to not do the really aggressive stupid stuff to get myself waxed.
