  1. Well I will tell you, I have as of a few months ago moved my WWII action to DCS fully. I was already using DCS for the jets and choppers, and had ordered a Point CTRL finger tracking device, and absolutely love manipulating all my switches, doing cold starts, etc in DCS. I miss having the Career mode and PWCG that IL-2 had as well, but having a lot of fun with scripted campaigns for DCS. Plus I am dividing my time more now between WWII and Jets and Choppers as I continue learning some of them and nice to have all in one sim. Having said that - I still look forward to this new sim utilizing the PTO and most likely will support it. And even if I can't have full cockpit fidelity which I kind of doubt this sim will have, I will undoubtedly get it to wet my PTO and carrier ops appetite. I would like to see it have cold start from parking and taxi to runway that is actually consistently good if nothing else.
  2. Actually it was started by some VR players to try and get equal footing as the accelerated view Track IR players do. Surely you are familiar with how Track IR works? Me I do not use it in VR, only 1:1 tracking for me as that is my preference but I am single player only. I certainly do not begrudge any VR players preferred to use the same accelerated view possibilities.
  3. Ok so nevermind, second try was the charm.
  4. Tried adding the discord, got it added then it asks me to verify my email address - I enter my email address and click on verify -- and it comes back and tells me already an account registered under that name. In the meantime, cannot see any Discord messages. Glitch in system?
  5. The meaning is to honor the dead that have fallen. Originally created for those that perished in the Civil War and later expanded to all wars. That is the meaning of Memorial Day - a day of remembrance.
  6. Seems the answer would be to add in a skip to function along with real actual size. Therefore anyone can run it how they wish. I just don't know how difficult it would be to implement a skip to function - they were more common in flight and race sims back in the 90's - probably much simpler to do then.
  7. Whoa that is some sweet water demo there! Would love to see something like that.
  8. True that - really nothing in this world will ever be perfect. Not even combat flight sims after all these years.
  9. Yeah same here. I think if they wanted to put in an animation showing the pilot walking up and climbing into his aircraft for the mission might be ok, but I would not take it any further than that. Some scripted campaign makers over in DCS have done that, usually just for the first mission of that particular campaign.
  10. In 1966, Congress and President Lyndon Johnson declared Waterloo, N.Y., the “birthplace” of Memorial Day. There, a ceremony on May 5, 1866, honored local Page 2 veterans who had fought in the Civil War. Businesses closed and residents flew flags at half-staff.
  11. Amen God Bless all who gave so much for our country!!
  12. I absolutely love scripted campaigns and flying them with no time compression - however between an hour and hour and a half would be about my limit I would want to put into flying a single mission, whether it be scripted or generated. I have plenty of time to indulge with a sim, but I would not want my missions to be much longer than that.
  13. I would much prefer not having to go through Steam myself, but if it ended up that being the only way to get it I certainly would still get it - as long as I like the product I am seeing of course.
  14. Yeah if I should ever decide to get into the MP aspect that would be the only way I would do it. Co-Op missions and campaigns.
  15. Yes that is awesome - I use it quite often, many times before a flight just to re-familiarize myself on my button assignments if I have not flown that aircraft in a while.
  16. Pretty sure Jason has already addressed that in recent discussions. Torpedos and Bombs were mentioned initially and they aren't exactly for dogfights.
  17. Excellent watch - thanks!
  18. Whatever man, you have a nice day. And no I was not talking about "pressing E to start" and am pretty sure you knew that.
  19. Pearl Harbor was one day. I myself have no particular desire to re-enact that day. Much better battles that can be represented I am sure.
