  1. New Guinea or Guadalcanal, are both good follow-on scenarios. We can put in IJA aircraft. I hope Jason makes a couple of non-historical multi-player maps with islands the Midway IJN plane set can operate from. I'm pretty sure they will get tired of looking for their carriers after awhile. If anyone remembers Pacific Fighters, they'll understand what I'm talking about. That will help keep everyone from getting bored while waiting for their next iteration.
  2. I'll bet the Guadalcanal scenario will be the next release after Midway. We'll get some Betties, P-400s, maybe even Oscars.......
  3. 10:00 am PDT or 7:00 pm CET on TM's discord or YouTube channels.
  4. It looks a lot different now.. not finished or I'd post pictures.
  5. Shouldn't this tread be in the VR section?
  6. F7F Tigercat and F8F Bearcat.... followed by the F9F Panther... and a nice little Essex class carrier to go along with it.
  7. Cracks me up every time I read about IL2 not having a clickable cockpit for start-ups. Well, I might not be able to sit there and click the buttons, throw switches, or prime engines, with my mouse or HOTAS. But, you do have to sit there and watch the AI pilot go through the steps of starting your engine. It's not like it just starts after you hit E... And then there is engine warm-up time.....
  8. Need the SBD too... Can't sink Japanese ships at Midway without them... reckon?
  9. Thanks, Wheels, It'll do in a pinch!..... Edit: The throttle/blackhog/K51 no longer look like that. I've got the Viper panel pre ordered. Once it gets here it will all change again.....
  10. Info is slim, but if they are doing Midway first, then there needs to be a: B-26... long shot PBY... really long shot F4Fx Wildcat SBDx TBD Devastator F2A Buffalo Don't know if there is going to be a nix on AI B-17s. IJN, because IJA was not involved... Zero A6Mx Val Kate E8N float plane... another long shot. I'll just be happy to hear torpedoes actually are modeled and work, along with ditching/parachuting into the sea. And Hayrake... The big guess is where do they go next, Should have done Guam first, but the Japanese actually get to invade, and the US gets to defend, lose, and attack thereafter, then retake. Just use the evolving plane sets. But it will probably be Guadalcanal, which is good, but very long flying distances for the IJA, and IJN planes from the carriers, are shorter. I hope I don't see mistakes like IL2 where they do a Map for that one battle, but miss out on an evolving map that can be used for later battles. That way we can use the evolving plane sets for early and later battles over the same Island or land mass. DCS is even worse... Sinai map... it's modern, anything interesting that happened there was in the 50s, 60s, 70s, and not much since then either. Philippines, Guam, Guadalcanal, Rabaul, New Guinea, and DCS did get WWII Marianna's map right. But what the hell has happened out there lately?.... NADA... I digress.... sorry. I'll bet the Korean map will be modern too if they build one. Useless.... no Panthers, Corsairs, Skyraiders, the Saber, and Mig are ready along with the Pony. IL2 is running low on GAS, (give a $hiznit) for me, DCS has hardly any rhyme or reason on maps and plane sets, except for the Normandy 2/Channel, and WWII Mariannas map. but they have a Fair to Midlin (so/so) plane set for any of it. No early ETO planes, no P-38...
  11. These are kind of blurry, but I finally got the room squared away and back to the way it was. When the Thrustmaster F-16TQS comes out I'm looking to pick up just the stand-alone button box portion they are selling. Looking to build a new computer and get the NLR F/S around Christmas time, not sure if I'll go with three curved screens or VR. This is in office mode. Yes, it's an old magazine table I cut and modified as a temporary mounting method until I do a serious upgrade.. I've got the Monstertech table mount and the stick base in the magazine holder for weight to keep it stable. And yes.. it's Redneck ingenuity... Adapt and overcome... GYSGT Highway...... I usually pull the monitor to the edge of the keyboard just to make it bigger and bring the TIR into 24-36".
  12. You should actually try sailing around on it... Water, water everywhere, and nary a drop to drink... 😉 USN 77-97
