This looks fab! Funnily enough, just been reading a book on Winkle Brown, and he was saying about the flotation devices fitted to Martlets/Wildcats and deployed upon crash landing on water, which allowed the pilot enough time to escape, never knew they had those! Will they be modelled at all?

Those wing floats were only on test models and never saw the production line due to them inflating randomly. 

The life raft inside the turtle back between sta 8-10 would inflate if the auto actuator on the main gear beam was submerged in water though.

Further searching of the internet I found the following quote:"An inflatable life raft was carried in the fuselage behind the cockpit and could be ejected on ditching, but it was later deleted in favor of a raft in the pilot's survival pack. Inflatable flotation bags were fitted under the wings for ditching at sea, but after the bags spontaneously inflated in flight a few times, leading to crashes, they were abandoned."

The coordinates logged by the Japanese ship puts it at 528 miles away from Midway, just to give an idea of the needle in the haystack part of the adventure

So please 🙏 can we have the Cat in the main body of the game, not just some 'collector'-type aircraft released years later? For Midway it is so important, and that amazing feat above is the icing on the cake. 😁

And not just a Catalina flying around, but one that can spot the Japanese fleet and report its location.
