There were many great episodes but one of my favorite episodes in that series is when the WW1 pilot time travels and ends up landing in 1959 France.

Hogan's Heroes!

If we're going back to the era of Hogan's Heroes then we've got to have 'F Troop'!

'...where redskins and cowboys, both, turn, chicken!'

I am in the homepage picture... or I would be if they hadn't cropped off the bottom part of it. 🍻

The story goes that the cars rammed cardboard boxes every week in both series as they had to be returned to dealers and Fords at Boreham Wood afterwards. Dunno how true that is.

As an "Its on" clarion call, the open bars of the Sweeney take some beating.

Another British classic: Porridge. No theme tune but one of the best opening sequences made. Ronnie Barker said many years later that he wished he hadn't done the narration, as it's obvious that it's him and not some anonymous judge.

For those that never got to see it, Porridge is one of the all-time best, still immensely funny today even if modern prison life bears no resemblance.
