Sterling's experience as an infantry soldier in the Pacific in WWII gave plenty of fuel to his incredible imagination. Boo
The story goes that the cars rammed cardboard boxes every week in both series as they had to be returned to dealers and Fords at Boreham Wood afterwards. Dunno how true that is. As an "Its on" clarion call, the open bars of the Sweeney take some beating. Edited October 15 by Boo 1
Chief_Mouser
Another British classic: Porridge. No theme tune but one of the best opening sequences made. Ronnie Barker said many years later that he wished he hadn't done the narration, as it's obvious that it's him and not some anonymous judge. For those that never got to see it, Porridge is one of the all-time best, still immensely funny today even if modern prison life bears no resemblance. For a couple months, they had ALL the Star Trek movies sequentially, over and over. They have stuff they send out "live", and lots more that is "on demand". Currently, the political commercials are running rampant... 😬🥶

Mysticpuma
This was a show I never missed an episode of, even the finale which hurt somewhat. No interest in the reboot, this was perfection.
Mysticpuma
And even though this was an American TV show, I really enjoyed this too. I think even in the UK we had much familiarity with it.

Major Lee
I'll put this classic here, even though it is a singular piece of media, it was used as the closing of many broadcast days, way back when. You younger folks may have never even seen it, but those who have seen it will certainly remember it fondly.
