Well used by the look of it. AFAIK that is not weathering, but just reflects how the camouflage pattern was painted in the field after the aircraft was delivered in bare metal. In jungle areas, where there were lots of tree shadows, the painters seemed to use more contrast in the patterns applied. I doubt the Japanese were flying around with peeling paint anywhere other than walkways and handles. 2 Quote
