It may be technically a merger if no money is changing hands for the absorption. How it comes out the other end will either shade it as a purchase or a true merger. I think they will still call it the PGA for marketing purposes. The issue I see being a real difficult one is how it affects the rankings of the PGA and do the players who didn't go to LIV get any kind of windfall.
