  7. Years ago as a young lad enjoyed this one. What an incredible read. From an IJN Captain's perspective. https://www.amazon.com/Japanese-Destroyer-Captain-Tameichi-Hara-ebook/dp/B00CW0T4HQ
  8. From a mission a little while back.... She's an incredible machine and she got me home. Treat that bird (and your lady) with respect, and she'll take care of you... What a sortie!
  9. I'll be there! Only a 5 1/2 hour drive for me. Glad they got it booked over to the Rio, after the Tropicana folded. Nonetheless, looking forward to attending, and I will take pics to share. Hoping I can shake Jason's hand and say hi! 😀 I'm taking Wifey-pooh, and we'll go see some shows in the evening/night.

caught this on the 'Net. Kinda puts things in perspective. What a beast!
  17. thought this was cool. USS Wolverine. She was originally a side wheel steamer before being converted to a Great Lakes training carrier.
  18. Feb 23rd, 1952: What I thought was a routine mission, "showing the flag", and helping to enforce a no fly zone along the North bank of the Yalu River.... I was jumped by 4 Imperialist bandits!!! Keeping my wits, I managed to flame 2 of those decadent Western b@st@rds before taking extreme hits. Unfortunately, out of ammo and nearly out of fuel, I had no choice but to RTB. I managed to get my crate back home, though heavily damaged. For my actions, I was later awarded: "Hero of Socialist Labor, 2nd Class" (for the return of the people's fighter, and its eventual repair and reuse)
  19. got 'em all roped in... 😁
  20. I visited there, a few years ago. awesome collection.
  21. Practicing my A2A refueling in a little bit. Have been getting a little rusty.
  22. Hilarious...
  23. too say the least! 😃
  24. Yesterday afternoon, I managed to bag 3x MiG-19's with my A-4E. My first mission was a bombing run, and I destroyed 2x T-54's, and 1x Gaz-66. On my way out, I was damaged by a MiG-19. Managed to get my crippled Scooter into a friendly airbase. Naturally, I repaired and went back up with an A2A package. Got the original perp, then went towards his airbase and flamed 2 of his girlfriends. Love getting those b@st@rd's! 🙂
