I do a bit of vid editing in IL2. 

I'm sure the controls and pre-set views were all developed before the surge of YT 'online creators'... but they prove to be a little on the limiting side, unless you are happy to rinse/repeat a scene until you record something sexy by luck. 

When you eventually come to this part of the sim, it would be great if you could give us a few extra (easy to use) camera tracking and placement tools?  After all, if we can make cool vids, it we can show of your shiny new sim more effectively 🙂 (we're free advertising).

Combining the flexibility of the DCS view system with the track reliability and rewind function in Il-2 would be the perfect combination in my opinion.

Agreed!  Would be cool (no idea how feasible this would be though) if it was easier to share and post those videos without requiring separate video editing software).

A simple fast forward AND rewind option is more than enough (when used with all cameras available). 

However, as mentioned in another of my posts, being able to fast forward and rewind but having access to Nvidia Ansel would be an incredible toolset to a video editor. 

Failing that a hybrid photo/video mode that let's players change depth of field, depth of focus, lens styles, etc, etc would be a great benefit for screenshots and movie making.
