Here is a really interesting Report written by Squadron Leader William John Harper RAF, who (first) commanded 453 Squadron RAAF and then 21/453 Squadrons when combined in the latter part of Malayan campaign.

Beside the interesting information contained therein on the performance and limitations of the Buffalo as a fighter aircraft in Theatre, it also provides a window into the petty command conflicts that existed between British and Australian/New Zealand personal. 

It just goes to show that the British of that period had no idea how to handle Anzac servicemen! :classic_blink:
