Hampden

(my missus's uncle lost his life in the nose of one of those over Brest in July 1941) 6th Mission. What a waste.

Whenever I see a picture of a Hampden I’m reminded of “Enemy Coast Ahead”. A remarkable book really considering it wasn’t ghost written or co-authored.

So close, Im almost tempted to part with the cigar but I thinks theres enough in the image for me to be pedantic 🙂

Well done Sir!  Iak 52TW (Aerostar licence build).  Sorry Arthur, I was a little devious with that one. Its the camera plane from the film Dunkirk. I gimped the image to mask its modernity. I only included the tail as the cosmetics done elsewhere I though would have been too specific (or conversely too obvous). I promise I'll do better 🙂
