Boom Posted August 13 Share Posted August 13 Here's a link to a very interesting article covering the presence and effectiveness of Japanese air units over New Guinea. https://www.awm.gov.au/articles/journal/j34/shindo It tells a sorry tale of missed chances; non co-operation between the Army and Navy High command; poor intelligence; lack of a clear, concise strategy; piecemeal supply of aircraft and personnel; and ultimatley massive losses. From the gamers point of view it provides great detail on units allocated (where and when), types of aircraft, missions types flown and demise dates for the air units involved.
