kestrel79
Wow looks great? How does the max differ from their other throttles? Is it more metal?
LD Bulldog
Good morning, No idea presently but supposedly an upgrade over the previous throttle and a welcome move from the X-52 throttle, which I loved for it simplicity and two axis for trims. I think more metal and better feeling switches over the CM2. Oh, and a dust cover.

ZachariasX
2 hours ago, Boo said: How does it cost more in pounds than euros? That’s another „cost of Brexit“ joke, right? You know, in Switzerland we usually get the same number for CHF than than is asked for in €, even tough the conversion rate is now at about 1.07€ per CHF and we never even joined the EU. But in our case, there‘s an upside to it: Bruxelles lets us print CHF until parity was reached for some time. That produced roughly the equivalent of the national GDP in cash. For free. 🎵 Always look on the bright side of life… 🎶

Boo
ZAK for world leader!! Thats an incredibly good and concise explanation, all joking aside. I might memorise it to look smarter than I am at some point in the future.... 🙂 I was just checking that the GBP price was inclusive of VAT and not a "special" to which VAT was yet to be added just cos Im British. 🙂 1

I know another forum where all this would have been erased shortly after posting with no other explanation than “Get back on topic!” Thank heavens for light touch moderation👍

Boo
An small (specific for me at any rate) issue I see is the lack of compatability with the control panel mounting adapter. I was kinda hoping it would follow the mounting hole placement of the CM2 and CDT Vmax but it appears not too. Not crtitcal as Id be paying £235 just for the sake of an undercarriage lever but an odd ommision by Virpil to not encourage further purchases I think. I suppose it could be argued that CDT vmax is all you need if you are using a control panel but that ignores the fact that simmers can NEVER have too many buttons and swtiches. EDIT - having looked around, only alternative for me if I want that box at least, is another £80 to MT. So £325 to have a gear lever. Super value. LD Bulldog
Update: "We are currently estimated to begin dispatching the throttle sometime end of December through end of January. Once the order is dispatched, you will receive tracking information automatically via email. Also, we're including some free merch as a gesture of goodwill due to the unexpected delay. :)" BD
