JFM
I know we're all about aviation here but I also love naval vessels. If Combat Pilot becomes the sim I believe it will, undoubtedly battleships will be a part of it. Until then, here's a thread where we can post and drool over these beautiful and powerful ships. We can include battlecruisers as well. USS Maryland 1.1" on Maryland, port quarterdeck USS California. IMO, the post-Pearl Harbor refits/reconstructions of California, West Virginia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee resulted in good-looking ships--not that they weren't before the attack! USS Indiana. Interesting how the camo extends across the decks and not just the vertical surfaces. USS Iowa USS South Dakota USS South Dakota USS Nevada USS Arizona Kirishima HMS Hood HMS King George V

Props
Ever since I was about 4 years old and saw an aircraft carrier in the bay near Alameda I have been enthralled by warships, especially of WW2. They just have this majesty about them, even PT boats. And it is going to be so much fun trying to sink 'em too! 1

On some ships, the planes even have their own little room (here's the King George V). 🙂

Well, if it was a Walrus II (or Seagull V for that matter), it could have been something for that thread.

My fave is the Nevada. Not just because I live in the state, but her service life was amazing. Jason

And they missed by more than half a kilometer. Nevada was damaged, but somewhat ok (if you don‘t mind the radiation). After Able, they used another nuke, Baker, and the ship got a lot more damage, but still intact enough to be towed to Pearl. In 1948, she was sunk as a gunnery target. A propos orange: Some ideas for Hellcat liveries: Remote controlled airborne radioactivity sampling drones, tail color according to RC frequency.
