Boo
Well....I got a couple. I've aslo asked over in the GB forum but Im impatient 🙂 Long and short is Ive bought a Q3 for the boy as a thank you for not being shit some of the time and passing his GCSE's. Everything I've read leads me to understand both the headstrap and face interface are not very good. I've done a little due dilligence and it appears that Kiwi and BoBo VR seem to be preferred choice of many.  I have seen some comments about the BoBO S3 not playing too well with the AMVR interface so Im leaning towards an elite style strap. I also understand such straps lend themselves a little better to more active use. So first question is does anoyone have any experience of either or does anyone use something different? Next question relates to batteries. Now, it took me some tme to get my head around battery equipped straps and how they work but now I know Im wondering if they are worth the investment? A lot of online reviews of the 5600ah straps like the Kiwi say the additional gameplay is around an hour. I've never seen the boy vertical for more than 45 mins so Im wondering if a link cable is just not a better and cheaper solution for longer gaming periods (there's also no chance the little sod is sitting in his pit for hours on end swatting zombies and getting a crust around his face). Interface wise I think Im settled on the AMVR 3 in 1 unless anyone has any better suggestions. Next up is the PCVR/Airlink/VD/Steam VR thing. Obviously I will likey have a link cable but given the lad is going to be doing less sedate stuff and more mainsteam apps and games, Im thinking theres less risk to him tripping (and more importantly damaging stuff) if its standalone. He'll have a PC in his room which is currently linked to an Eero 6 that, in turn is wirelessly connected to the Eero 6 downstairs. Speeds are ok but if I got this right, Airlink et al ideally needs Wifi6e irrespective and, as such, a dedicated router. I think I understand the comcept (Ethernet out from Eeero to dedicated router's internet in port and PC connected to dedicated router's ethernet port. Then set up the dedicated router as an access point and yadeya. The final question then is - what router? Thanks in advance for anyone kind enough to comment.
