MAG....sorry MEGA pack. 

That kinda stuff just wouldnt work in the UK. Here we all bring our own little offerings. Jean likes a wine spritzer, Jerry is a red wine snob and Derren eulogises about his craft beer, imagining Turner-esq water mills in rural pastures as he does so (ignoring the fact that its brewed on an industrial estate in Scunthorpe). As the alcohol flows Derren winks at Jean and they dissappear for a while and just long enough for Jerry to stop talking about swapping his mortgage to notice. The rest of the evening is spent in awkward silences interspersed with pointed comments in a haze of melon flavoured vape smoke. .

In the US I imagine you stack four of them puppies on a tailgate, shoot a wild pig, get it on with your best friends sister, fight about it with him  later and then chug the rest together whilst telling each other how much you love em.

I prefer the latter. .

Ah....but your protestations give truth to  the fact that you aren't all not like that either!

I will admit that my knowledge of the former colonies is limited to re-runs on daytime tv but, from what I gather its an even split of cops with a propensity for violence,  dull 30 somethings and scientific genius oddballs inhabiting apartments and coffee shops in New York and slighly rowdy young gentlemen driving seemingly indestructable orange dodge chargers with the doors welded shut (presumably to stop them opening them by mistake and falling out). I feel its a fair and balanced assessment.

For the record, I'm quite civilized in my later life now; I haven't shot a wild critter in 3 or 4 days now, I can't have 'coons on the porch eating the cat food and tearing stuff up. I did, however, do some tactical pistol shooting yesterday, that was a blast. I made "that shot", so yeah... 🫡
