I think that you underestimate how much work it is to produce two games. And if Combat Thunder becomes successful, it may be the end of Combat Pilot.

Not separate game in development, just by name.....to use everything from CB development and reuse it as a different game but with less fidelity. One game through development and two games out of the box....if possible! Light version as rougher with less fidelity could be out earlier and its sales used to fund CB. If it become success i doubt it would end CB, it can only help widen its playerbase. Just a suggestion, me as a customer would buy both🤷‍♂️

id rather pay an outrageous price to own it forever then a subscription model.

This...and i'd rather donate money with nothing in return and later buy it at a full price.

To generate funds i would rather suggest side project as light version of original one with more simplified FM, DM, details and other game mechanics (on level with old il2 Pacific fighters or WT). So if original fully fleshed sim is Combat pilot than this light side project can be called differently and as a separate game(for example "Pacific pilot") using same game platform but as i said with watered down fidelity. It may attract wider playerbase setting nice grounds for main project, and commumity that can over time progress into hardcore simmers giving rest of us general taste of PTO and what CB will become.

  3. Completed the game, storyline is meh, like really unimpressing.....

I'd give it overall 6,5/10....thnx to few missions that were really fun, first mission vs. Xenomorph, boarding ships and attacking and boarding pirate and scav bases make it worth playing but overall game is avg Joe not worth hype it got.

But, the "dent" would only be visible up close. Same with rust, flaking paint and other assorted wear and tear. I doubt beyond a lot of missing paint on an airplane, that any of it would be seen in flight. Given the limitations of computing power, would each and every other similar object in the game exhibit the same wear and tear? Then you have a world full of clones that would also tend to suspend immersion. IMO. I'd sooner see that type of graphic representation as an option and not a hard wired feature.

I hope they wont spend time and resources on uneccessary details, nice to have but at what cost, nitpicking is a disease in some things. Rust applies only to ground equipment and 99pc of time is not seen from AC while AC exterior dont rust due to materials used (only white aluminium oxide coating if exposed to salt and after long period of time generally in not eye/maintenance exposed areas)

Beyond models itself i find lightning and colorization looks really great in that AA gun pic with sandbags and grass.

Why would they do Europe here when Il2 already did it? Why compete when it's best to compliment? I rather have new content than repeated content.

No, MTO (med carrier ops, Malta, Italy) and BoB or even Normandy if bombers included, il2GB didnt cover it and i was referring to that....but after we drain PTO decently (maybe after 4-5 pto expansions)....ppl get tired of same theatre and gameplay after some amount of years (goes for majority of games).

That is my opinion and desire even it is way too early to talk about it🤷‍♂️

  7. Preorder is out (hence i'll wait a bit more)....release on September 6th. This really looks like a dream come true game, only one thing is missing...playable atmo re-entry!

  8. Really good arguments on both sides makes me think either solutions would be good if not exaggerated.....waypoint warp if still somewhat far away from action will keep sim element, as well if they size down sea mass but not too much.

And carrier tech really give options/solutions regarding this problem, mostly for MP.....

I know we all have our favorite theaters, and many of our European and British friends see the Pacific as an American thing at best, or a sideshow compared to the ETO at worst, and I do understand why, but the war against Imperial Japan has so much to offer in terms of interesting new machines, areas of operation, and well, everything.

I can assure u many of us europeans (ppl i flew/fly with) have PTO as our fav theatre...thnx to Hollywood and old movies we grew up with we're half Muricanized😅

So i too hope they will first cover PTO as it deserves before moving to something else...btw there were Seafires operating in PTO (that would be a cream on a cake someday).

I know a couple folks (online), that went with a 650b conversion for their Blades.  Put some new life into their bikes.

that Specialized you have is a very nice Bike.

I would recommend new frame, modern geometry makes a huge difference, try to borrow and try it.

My Specialized is really a enduro/dh beast but not quite well allarounder, i like to go xc adventures as well so when budget allows i'll go for some of those too (Expensive hobby😅).

Yep, I still get on my bikes.  2015 Framed Alaskan (Fatty) and a 2005 Titus Switchblade.  Yep, I still ride that 'Blade.  One day, (if I can convince Wifey, I've been eye balling a Pivot Switchblade....)

Wow you have long history with that 'Blade....that goes straight "over fireplace" as souvenir once new Pivot arrives....you're going to have a lot of fun with modern geometry.

I'm not veteran like you but i kept my cube stereo 2017 for flat and grocery store rides while Specilazed Enduro 2022 is new adrenaline weapon. Didn't aim for it but i bumped on a really good price, otherwise id go with nice allarounder (SC Hightower), still do when budget allows.
